For over 15 years, Varun has partnered with a range of clients, including industry and government, to provide expertise in the assessment and audits of environmental effects of air discharges, air emission inventories (including NPI), atmospheric dispersion modelling, and air emissions monitoring.  Varun is also experienced in the compilation of GHG emission inventories (including NGER), preparation of GHG assessments, and undertaking climate change risk vulnerability and mitigation assessments.

Varun has completed major projects for open cut and underground coal and metalliferous mines, oil and gas developments, power stations (gas, coal and biomass), waste management facilities, transport infrastructure (airports, roads, rail and ports), chemical manufacturing plants and intensive agricultural developments.

Varun has most recently provided expert advice on the implementation and assessment of Air Quality Monitoring Plan for large developers in the Oakdale East, South and West Industrial Estates.  This includes receiving alerts from the representative AQ monitors, and preparing brief ‘incident reports’ (as required) summarising projects activities, meteorological conditions, and other contributing factors at the time of high pollutant concentrations.

Varun has provided expert advice in the review of development applications in the Land and Environment Court of NSW.
